Well, I am successfully moved back home. I can't say that I am happy about it. I am glad my parents have let me come back and store all my stuff in their home and barn... but yikes. Moving back into your parents home is NOT easy. I'm pretty depressed right now. Still, I'll be off for my last semester of college (Abroad in Spain) soon, so this won't last that long.
My brother is on leave for a month. I am very happy to see him, but wow, I forgot how much we drove each other crazy!
My Aunt sent me her old Mac Book computer, so I am learning how to use it. Just set it up tonight... Its quite confusing, but I'm sure I'll adjust quickly... at least I hope so. I don't expect everyone raves about Macs for no reason.
I finished up my best friend's painting "She said Yes!" a day before the wedding! Whew that was close, but they loved it, so you know... deadline met! I got a query about a commission for a painting to be done by next march. It's a first anniversary, and he wants one of their wedding pics done... He wants a poster size and I told him 300-400$. I thought that was pretty fair, given hours and costs involved. Thoughts?
Don't know that I'll finish the Eiffel Tower painting before I leave. My Thesis is looming over my head, and I still have about 12 books to read before I leave working through an 800 page one right now. I've decided to put off Graduate school application until I finish my thesis, just so I can concentrate on my current studies, instead of trying to fit in the GRE and applications as well.
While I'm in Spain, I hope to do some sketching and some photography (like I did in Europe). Will post those when I can

Been gone for ages... I know.
Well Folks,
I know I've been gone for ages! But it doesn't mean I've stopped art! Nope, I've been painting and drawing and writing away whilst living life.
Anyway, the biggest news is that I am publishing my book! This has been a huge part of what I have been doing over the last few years. Super exciting to see it come together. Check out the project here: https://www.facebook.com/MKClarkbooks/

I've also been doing a web comic since last year. I married my awesome hubby, and the hilarity soon ensued. We decided we just couldn't let all that funny go to waste. You ca
New Commission
So, got a new commission, 16x20 Acrylic. Have to have it finished by the end of November to mail out.
Here's a sneak peak.
Culmination of a year's work...
So, reason number 1 why I haven't done a lot of art this year.... Thesis. And guess what came in the mail today? You know it, my thesis all pretty and bound and everything :)
Yah man! There you have it, the culmination of over a year's worth of work. Now, back to that art stuff....
My own place!
I will finally be getting my very own place on June 21st! I asked the apartment peeps and they said I could "go wild" with paint and shelves, etc....
So, I am now taking suggestions/advice on what I should do with the walls and stuff :)
